【Betty/Red Maple】 London, Ontario– On September 27, 2024,T&T Supermarket celebrated the grand opening of its largest Asian supermarket in London, marking a long-awaited moment for local residents and students. The new store, located at 530 Oxford St W, spans 39,000 square feet, making it the largest Asian supermarket in the city. The opening ceremony was held from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., and the store officially opened to the public at 9:00 a.m.

The opening event will feature a variety of exciting performances, including a traditional lion dance, and customers will have access to exclusive items only available at the London location. The first 200 customers through the door will each receive a $10 gift card. To make the shopping experience even more rewarding, T&T encourages customers to download their mobile app in advance to start collecting reward points on day one. Additionally, the app will provide convenient grocery delivery services in the future.

Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarket, shared her personal connection to the event, reflecting on her time as a student at Western University’s Richard Ivey Business School. “As a Western alum, this store opening holds a special place in my heart. When I was a student, I had to carpool with friends 3 hours to Toronto to get to a T&T. Finally, residents of London and students of Western and Fanshawe will enjoy the authentic flavors and premium fresh produce and seafood within a bus ride away,” said Lee.

For students at Western University, this opening is a long-awaited moment. Hongyu Guo, President of the Chinese Cultural Game Club at Western, expressed his excitement: “Many students I know, including myself, have been waiting forever for this—there's nothing like T&T around here, and now it's finally coming to London! I've always loved the crazy variety and fresh food T&T offers such as Chinese crepes, freshly steamed bao, desserts, pineapple buns...My friends and I are seriously excited.”
